In my constructions I layer organic shapes in contrasting materials inspired by the forms, colors and textures found in nature, in the ever changing moment. Embracing a wabi-sabi aesthetic, I find beauty in the imperfection and expression of impermanence in eroded objects and fragments. My experiences as a printmaker and textile designer are expressed in the layering, pattern and balance I seek to create in my work. I like to think of each assemblage as an object and a fragment itself, part of a larger whole, tapping into a universal feeling of all belonging to the same fabric.
